"I will do music until I can’t."
-Dale Kimber

Dale Kimber was born and raised in Burlington, North Carolina and has always had a love and a talent for music. Dale is not only exceptionally talented, but is a kind and generous soul with a true “artist’s heart.”

Dale moved to Los Angeles in the mid 1970s after visiting his friend Billy Preston out there. Since then, Dale has enjoyed a long and fruitful career doing what he loves most - singing, writing and recording music.

In the 1980’s, Dale was part of a male vocal trio called Royale, and later formed a band called FuniBone which toured all over California. Dale has also been successful as a solo artist, writing and recording original songs in the studio and performing live in many Los Angeles nightclubs. Dale says, “I’ve met so many wonderful people along the way, including my idol, Chaka Khan.”

In the 1990’s, Dale moved to New York City and acquired some musical theater experience. Dale toured with the Pointer Sisters in a fabulous production of Ain't Misbehavin’, and later performed in the legendary original Broadway production of The Lion King.

Today, Dale has returned once again to his North Carolina roots and continues to perform in local venues. Every fortunate person who has the opportunity to hear him sing is touched by his incredibly soulful R & B sound. Dale’s beautiful vocal tone, expressiveness, and compelling ability to harmonize make him a sought-after performer whose sound appeals to people from every generation with every variety of musical tastes.

Thankfully, Dale says he’s not retiring anytime soon. "I will make music until I can't anymore," says Dale with a smile.
